Are we ever going to paint though!?

So I was excited for winter because there is a lot of down time and I thought we maybe, just maybe, might get this house painted!  We still have all kinds of touch ups from our 1 year back in July.

Is it just me or is painting the most annoying task??  I think it is!  Messy and it takes a lot of tedious work which I am just not good at!!  I slop that paint everywhere :/

I'm trying to get my grips on it and look at the calendar for a weekend where we can knock it out.  We still are undecided as to what we are going to do with a few of the spaces in our home though.  We would love to make the front living into a dining room like my last post talked about, but the table we have is LONG and it will take some planning to see if we can even get it to fit and work in that space.

If we do that, then the morning room becomes a free space, for coffee and breakfast, and computer, and maybe a TV.  But I can't get my mind completely around that considering that adjacent to the kitchen, our living room serves the same purpose...  but without as many windows and beautiful sunsets.

Our loft is a mish mosh of a man cave but I am not loving 80% of what's in there and it needs to be re-done.  As much as he wanted a space that was "his" he NEVER uses it so we may need to rethink that area into something more functional.  But another couch and another TV?  That doesn't really make sense either.  What to do!!!

I want to paint my son's room something cute, maybe a stripe...but then I think of all that taping and bleeding of paint and mess...

If there is 1 space that I love the least it has to be our master bathroom.  Can I get an AMEN if you have a Florence?  I just can't seem to make it work, we need some shelves and storage in there bad.  Thinking about getting rid of the cabinets and going with a more modern Ikea looking sink, and instead of doubles, just getting 1 and having more counter space.  NOT LOVING THE BATHROOM AT THE MOMENT.  It's just not as glam and luxurious like I had picture it'd being.

Our son's bathroom is the same situation.  Hello, you can't open the drawers of the cabinet unless you close the bathroom door.  Whoever designed that messed up.  It's annoying.

But, all in all I still love my home, I am just aching for some change to make it fresh and exciting again.  I have been working full time for almost a year now and time is now an issue for me.  Oh I miss the days of being able to do projects while my son was off at school!  Oh well!

How are you all?  How are you loving your home?
